Reading an event page
An event page is everything INVOLVO knows about one event. Most of it is self-explanatory: what the event is, when and where it runs, who is organizing it, and what it is about.
Three things on the page are less obvious, and they are the ones worth reading about.

Links out to the organizer
Most events carry links that lead off INVOLVO — the organizer’s own site, the event’s own page, a registration form, social accounts, or a joining link for an online event.
How these behave depends on who put the event on INVOLVO.
On an event posted by the organization running it, the links are simply there. Open them freely.
On an event added by someone else, the links start out hidden. Opening one uses Impact Stars — INVOLVO’s spendable currency, which you earn by using the platform rather than by paying money. You can unlock a single link, or every link on that event at once.
This applies to every kind of link, including a registration form. So if an event has several links and you only care about signing up, unlock the registration link rather than the rest.
If you would rather not spend anything, you can always look the organizer up yourself. Nothing here stops you finding them the ordinary way.
Impact Stars are INVOLVO’s spendable currency, and you can earn them without paying money — see Earning and spending Stars. For why some events are maintained by their organizer and others are not, see How event information on INVOLVO works.
Details that appear only once you are interested
Some organizers choose not to publish the exact time or the exact address to everyone — usually for smaller events, or ones where they want to know who is coming.
On those events you will see the general details, and the precise ones appear once you mark yourself as interested. It is not a payment and it is not an application; it just tells the organizer you are considering it. See Saving events and reminders.
The event’s status
An event is upcoming, ongoing, finished, or cancelled.
Read this alongside whether registration is still open. An event can be upcoming and no longer accepting people, and a cancelled event stays visible rather than disappearing, so that anyone who signed up finds out what happened.
Getting in from here
When you have decided you want to go, how you sign up depends on the event — see How you get into an event.
